A 4 days intense masterclass with the former Disney animator Samantha Youssef. For those in the animation, VFX and gaming business who which to excel them self.

When: 10-13 april 2012

Where: Xenter, Tumba, Stockholm

Day 1 and 2 Life drawing and character design. Lectures combined with workshops about capture the essence of character. Both in the sense of posing, storytelling and design.

Day 3 and 4  Character animation. lectures. Focus will be on the acting part of animation. And completely independent of what technique or software you use.

Teacher: Samantha Yussef have been working as character animator on Walt Disney studios for several feature films aswell as Yowsa animation (Curious george), Filmax and UBIsoft. She is currently running the education company Studio technique in Montreal, Canada.

It’s possible to sign up for SAAVA membership at the same time as you sign up for the masterclass. Membership fee for 2012 is 100 SEK (students 50 SEK)

The fee includes lectures, coffee/thé, refreshments and lunch. Course language is english. The level on this masterclass is not suitable for beginners.

Kolla! är en jurybedömd tävling för animatörer, illustratörer, grafiska formgivare, Art Directors, regissörer och andra som jobbar med visuell kommunikation i olika media, tryckta likväl som digitala.

Tävlingen i år öppnar den 9 februari för inlämning och stänger den 3 april. Från den 9 februari kommer du även få all aktuell information kring årets regler, vilka som sitter i juryn och hur och vad du skall lämna in. Eftersom det i år är 10 års jubileum så bjuder kolla på anmälningsavgiften!
